I was talking to Conor the other day about screen recording software and he mentioned using VirtualDubMod, a open source video capture and linear processing tool for Microsoft Windows. (in other words I duno how to explain it what vdub does) Vdub is actually a program I’ve used before back in the days when I tried to make AMVs. Anyways basically now when I want to record myself drawing, instead of having a hissy fit about the codex being wrong and not letting me do anything with the video file I can pretty much toss my recording into Vdub and save as the video into a format that I can work with.

You can’t tell but half way drawing I ran off to play some TF2 and then went back to drawing :D

Hopefully from now on I’ll remember to add “Biccy.net” to my drawings… I always forget to do that.

I added a Time Lapse tag today :D

Since I didn’t go to my graduation I had to get my diploma mailed to me.

I wasn’t actually expecting it to arrive for a while…

But this came for me today. (isn’t my tiny hat awesome?)

This also came in the mail.

Now I shall go on a hunt for a frame. The diploma is a stupid size, it’s some what like A3 but it’s a bit longer and thinner. (LAME)

One of these days I’ll work on my website and get that 3D section up and running, until then I’m going to draw and draw again! I’m also thinking maybe I’ll go and do some tutorials to improve my skills at random programs. :D

I actually drew something that wasn’t tf2 related nor was it done half-asses, well ok I got kind-a lazy and tired towards the end of working on it, I really need to stop doing that. XP

This is Geno, he’s a character of mine for a comic that’s in my head. I’m not sure why but I felt like drawing him today.

I’ve had an idea for a comic called “The Asylum” in my head for a while now, I’ve got an idea of the world it’s set in, the characters that take place, the way it should end, but I don’t really know what plot I should add to it to make it work all nicely together. It’s one of those things where there are so many things that need to be explained but can’t be done easily. Maybe one day I’ll start writing out a script and see what happens.

It’s 5am and I’m still awake, it’s a little creepy. I’m not really one of those people who pull all nighters, in fact, when it was crunch time at uni and I tried to pull all nighters I would end up a sleep on my keyboard.

Anyways, I’ve been playing with screen capture software, after test driving two programs I came across something called “Debut Video Capture software” and unlike the other two programs it doesn’t crash while recording, so thinking it was awesome and all I did another test run while drawing something :D

It’s a pity these videos don’t show up in google reader, have been thinking about getting myself a youtube account but yeah… stranger danger :\ trolls and stalkers and bullies oh my.

Today’s song is “A million ways” by OK Go.

I started the drawing at 1:30ish took me 20mins and then I went putting that video together. Yup, the editing the video took longer to do then drawing it did. I might need to replace this debut software, because the reason why this video took so long to make was due to the fact that I had no idea the video it creates a strange codex that doesn’t allow me to render the videos out. So what I ended up doing was playing the video in the debut program while recording it with Fraps.

The cool thing about today’s video is that you can actually watch my cursor to move around and stuff!

When I was drawing this I was thinking “TV is such a dead media” and then I remembered that I was watching TV before. hahahha fail

Anyways, it’s late-ish and I’m not thinking any more.
